KYNIO, fasting without the hype

An intermittent fasting tracker from Portugal that shows your estimated fasting phase and the limits of the evidence behind it, with your logs kept on your phone.

Descriptions

50 words

KYNIO is a calm intermittent fasting tracker for Android and the web. It shows the phase your body is likely in, hour by hour, and says plainly what studies have and haven't shown. Meals can be logged from a photo, with an AI estimate you review. No ads, and no account required.

Most fasting apps promise exact milestones: fat burning at 12 hours, autophagy at 16. KYNIO takes a different line. It shows six estimated phases, from digestion to 48 hours, based on the time since your last meal, and each one comes with its limits written next to it. The exact start of autophagy, for example, has never been measured directly in humans, and the app says so. KYNIO Pro adds the biology of each phase and the eight PubMed-indexed studies behind them.

Beyond the timer, KYNIO logs meals from a photo or text, with an AI estimate the user edits before saving, plus water, weight and workouts. A grace day keeps a streak alive after one missed day. The app works without an account, logs stay in a local database on the phone, and there are no ads. It is available in English and European Portuguese, on Android and at kynioapp.com/app.
